New Boutique Inn Experience at Golden Plough Inn at Peddler's Village

(LAHASKA, PA)…On May 16, 2014, Peddler’s Village introduced a fresh, new boutique Inn experience to Bucks County with the opening of the renovated Golden Plough Inn Main Building.

The historic building at the corner of Route 202 and Street Road is Phase one of a million dollar renovation of the Golden Plough Inn. The renovated Inn offers an enhanced Town and Country experience at Peddler’s Village for leisure and business travelers seeking a peaceful retreat in the Bucks County countryside.

Phase one is a complete renovation of the Inn’s three-story main building at the corner of Route 202 and Street Road, featuring 22 guest rooms, an activated lobby with an all-day coffee station and a high-tech Business Center. Phase two included a refresh of the 49 guest rooms throughout the Village. The Jamison family’s commitment to the ongoing renaissance of Peddler’s Village is reflected in this renovation, which marries the historical integrity of traditional style with an updated design. The family’s antiques and art will be showcased in a setting that celebrates past and present.

AJ Margulis, an award-winning designer from Pennington, New Jersey, created the guest rooms to feel like a well-appointed country home using hues of earth tones inspired by the Bucks County countryside.

“Our design concept originated with the wish to bring the beauty of the lush Village landscape indoors while maintaining a sense of luxury. The new color palette is warm neutral colors with rich accents of green, blue and red. The wallpaper in each room sets the tone for the four basic color schemes in both the Town guest rooms and Country guest rooms,” said Margulis.

The relaxing color palette is expressed in the luxurious fabrics from soft chenille to lush velvets. Traditional mahogany furnishings complement the classic color scheme. Custom wall coverings and light fixtures, original and custom artwork, and comfortable seating enhance each room’s oversized and unique floor plan.

The scope of the project includes new carpet, paint, wall coverings, furniture, and remodeled bathrooms. The crisp white subway tiled bathrooms offer soaking tubs and new lighted mirrors. The handcrafted quartz top vanities with the cabinetry’s turned wooden legs add a graceful touch.

A technology boost with complimentary Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, iPod docking stations and the high-tech Business Center will provide guests with conveniences expected in an Inn of this caliber.

For the enjoyment and convenience of our guests, in-room amenities include fireplaces, sumptuous new towels, upgraded mattresses and linens, refrigerators and iron/ironing boards. In addition to ADA accessible guest rooms and accessible entrances throughout the hotel, ample wheel chair ramps and numerous ADA parking spaces are provided around Peddler’s Village.

For guests on the go, the complimentary Golden Plough Inn breakfast was reconceived as a convenient continental option located downstairs in the Buttonwood Grill. The newly designed breakfast menu features signature hot breakfast sandwiches perfect for a leisurely breakfast or eating on the run: the Buckingham Biscuit with sweet Italian sausage, scrambled egg, caramelized onion, sharp provolone, broccoli rabe and pesto; and The Buttonwood Veggie Burrito with black bean salsa, scrambled egg, potato, queso fresco and avocado. Additional continental choices include the Bakery Basket with assorted, freshly baked pastries, breads and jams; A Healthy Start option of whole fruits and berries, assorted hot and cold cereals, house granola and yogurts; and fresh juices, coffee and tea.

The newly renovated Golden Plough Inn is an exceptional destination at Peddler’s Village for travelers, festival guests, weddings, meetings and corporate events. Guests enjoy access to all that Peddler’s Village has to offer: five restaurants, 65 independently owned retail shops, Giggleberry Fair family entertainment center and 6,000 square feet of meeting, party and special event space in conference facilities throughout the campus.

The 71-room Golden Plough Inn at Peddler’s Village is located in the historic and scenic countryside of Bucks County, PA. The Golden Plough Inn is prime location, just minutes from New Hope and Doylestown; one hour from Philadelphia and the International Airport; one and one-half hours from New York City, the state capital in Harrisburg and PA Dutch Country; three hours from Washington, DC; and less than an hour from the Pocono Mountains.
